Noopept Reviews

What Is Noopept?

Noopept is a single ingredient and it appears to be quite a potent one. But, there are more well tested nootropics out there.

Noopept, also known as N-phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine ethyl ester, is a nootropic compound developed by the Zakusov Institute of Pharmacology, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

It is a derivative of the well-known nootropic, piracetam, but with some theoretical advantages.

Unlike piracetam, the theory is that noopept can produce significant effects at much lower doses, making it more potent and efficient.

It is believed to work by increasing acetylcholine signaling in the brain, while also boosting the expression of nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). These actions help protect the brain from glutamate toxicity and enhance inhibitory neurotransmission.

The main issue with noopept is that there aren't a lot of trustworthy studies or suppliers. There has been only one human trial so far, this was conducted on a small group of people with mild cognitive impairment following a stroke. [1] The results were positive, but it has not been replicated.

The animal studies look promising and with a similar mechanism to priacetem there is some arguement that things will translate to humans, but as most animal studies do not work out, we wouldn't recomend noopept currently. Although there are a decent amount of anecdotal noopept reviews. The fact is there's a whole list of other nootropic supplements with a lot more scientific backing in humans that we'd recommend before noopept.

It is currently available on Amazon but not all of these products are third party tested for purity.

Noopept user reviews on Amazon

Customers Noopept reviews are normally quite positive, with noopept products normally scoring between 4-5* on third party platforms.

There is a reasonable arguement that the nootropic works as it claims. However, it should be noted that when it comes to nootropics we never really know until it's tested against a placebo. As the placebo effect tends to be quite pronounced on self reported cognitive function. And actually on cognitive function in general.

Noopept reddit reviews

It's about 60/40 when it comes to digging through reddit reviews of noopept. Once you exclude the people trying to sell it that is.

Generally positive, but a lot of people saying it simply didn't work. Although as most noopept supplements aren't 3rd party tested we can't even be sure these reviewers were actually getting noopept.

Noopept Review Conclusion

Noopept, the cognitive-enhancing supplement developed in Russia, offers a range of potential benefits. From improving cognitive function and memory to relieving anxiety and depression, Noopept has gained popularity among those seeking to enhance their mental performance. Its neuroprotective properties and ability to eradicate brain fog make it a promising option for individuals looking to optimize their brain health.

Whilst it's well tollerated as far as we know, there are far more well studied nootropics available that are as if not more effective.

The problem is that there's almost no evidence at all that it will work in humans, as such we would recommend one of the dozens of other nootropic supplements that have actually been demonstrated to work in clinical trials.
