Do Zleep Patches Work?

There really isn't any evidence to suggest a Zleep patch work better than a placebo.

Zleep Patches are designed to be worn on the body during sleep, gradually releasing ingredients that promote better sleep. According to Zleep, their patches not only induce sleep but also reduce anxiety and promote a calmer state of mind. Anxiety is often a significant factor contributing to insomnia, and Zleep Patches aim to reset the sleep-wake cycle with the inclusion of melatonin, a hormone known to regulate sleep.

At least that's the idea, and the fact is that the ingredients if actually taken orally aka as a pill then they do definitely work.

The catch is that most of the molecules are too big to be absorbed through the skin.

Meltaonin (the sleep hormone) as it happens can be absorbed through the skin, [1] so it's not that Zleep will do nothing at all, but this is pretty much the only way in which it's going to function. And the issue is that when absorbing through the skin, the dose your body actually uses isn't going to be nearly as large. There's only 6mg in Zleep, wheras effective capsule sleep aids tend to use 5-10mg and 3 being an absolute minimum.

There is possibly an argument for adding a zleep patch after taking a 3-5mg dose of melatonin, in capsule form, potentially extending the effects, but as a stand alone Zleep isn't going to do much, unless you're highly sensitive to melatonin.

Zleep Patches Reviews Conclusion

While the ingredients in Zleep Patches, such as melatonin, ashwagandha, chamomile, L-theanine, and 5-HTP, have potential sleep-enhancing properties, the overall effectiveness of the product is hampered by the fact that you can't actually absorb them through the skin. Which is something of an issue. Due to the slow release of melatonin it could have some benefits for staying asleep if you wake up a lot in the middle of the night, but won't help a lot of other sleep problems.

User reviews provide mixed feedback, with some individuals reporting positive experiences, which is probably down to the melatonin that can actually pass into the blood stream, meaning they'd have been as well off with a simple melatonin gummy for half the price.

When we Zleep Patches against RestAgain, an oral supplement at the same price point for a 3 month supply, which contains all the effective ingredients in Zleep, in their effective dosages, and delivered orally so they actually work, we can't recommend Zleep Patches.
