Silencer Fat Burner Review

Is Silencer Fat Burner any good?

Silencer Fat Burner contains a couple of good ingredients but also a few duds, and pretty much everything is under-dosed.

Created by Redcon1, Silencer is a stimulant-free fat-burning supplement that promises to “burn fat and flush unwanted water”.

Many of the ingredients are only partially supported by scientific evidence while others lack any serious evidence whatsoever. In addition, many of the ingredients are not included at sufficient doses to be effective according to the studies that do demonstrate their effectiveness. On the plus side, it is true that Silencer Fat Burner does not contain any stimulants.

As such, we don’t recommend taking this fat burner at the present time. More information is needed on some of the ingredients and the doses definitely need to be increased. There are other, similarly priced fat burners that use safe and effective ingredients available

Silencer Far Burner Customer Reviews

Verified customer reviews of Silencer Fat Burner were pretty mixed. While some reviewers gave the product four stars, on closer inspection their reviews were still quite critical with comments including complaints about the size of the pills (they are huge) and lack of any noticeable effects.   With only 18 reviews on TrustPilot for Silencer Fat Burner manufacturer Redcon1, we don’t have a lot of customer experience to draw on, but 78% of these reviews awarded the company 1 start…not a good sign. Almost all of these reviews complained of horrible customer service, a theme that also popped up on the Amazon reviews too, albeit less so

Silencer Far Burner Ingredients

Acetyl L-Carnitine (500mg) - Acetyl-L-carnitine is a type of L-carnitine, a substance that is involved in several bodily processes. Importantly, it is involved in energy production by turning fat into energy. Acetyl-L-carnitine, sometimes abbreviated to ALCAR, is most commonly associated with brain function rather than fat burning. It is thought to reduce the impact of neurodegenerative diseases and slow the effects of ageing on the brain [1].

Overall, L-carnitine has been scientifically linked to mild weight loss and improvements in BMI, but the recommended effective dose is around 2000mg per day, which makes Silencer Fat Burner extremely under-dosed, even when taking the recommended amount of two servings per day [2]. In addition to the dosing concerns, it is unclear whether this particular form of L-carnitine is directly linked to weight loss, but the mental benefits are fairly probable.

L-Carnitine (from L-Carnitine Tartrate) (500mg) - L-Carnitine Tartrate is a second type of L-carnitine that is more closely associated with sports and fitness benefits. It has been shown to reduce recovery time after workouts and help alleviate muscle pain. Again, evidence of this particular form of L-carnitine aiding weight loss is lacking. It is also worth noting that some studies done into the effects of L-Carnitine suggest it has no impact on weight loss. For example, a study published in 2000 gave participants 2g per day for eight weights and found no difference between those participants taking L-carnitine and those given a placebo [3].

Garcinia Cambogia (fruit) Extract containing 50% HCA (500mg) - Originating in Indonesia, garcinia cambogia is a fruit commonly used to treat high cholesterol, intestinal problems, and a number of other health issues. The fruit contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA), which is thought to combat obesity by making you feel fuller and more satiated after a meal. However, there is concern that garcinia cambogia is a toxin, although these concerns have not yet been proven [4]. Studies indicating its success as a weight loss supplement have used doses between 900mg and 2,800mg of pure HCA. Since Silencer Fat Burner contains an extract with only 50% HCA potency, any weight loss benefits this extract may offer are going to be minimal since the dose is too low.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) Powder (500mg) - Conjugated linoleic acid is an omega-6 fatty acid found in vegetable oils and some meat and dairy products. It is thought to have numerous health benefits, however, its impact on fat loss and weight management has not been proven. Thus far, most studies into the effects of conjugated linoleic acid weight loss have been conducted on animals. One such study found a 60% reduction in body fat among mice fed CLA [5]. Whether these benefits are also available to humans is not yet known for certain. Human studies that did indicate some moderate fat loss, used high doses of CLA, up to 3.2g per day, which is significantly higher than the amount included in Silencer Fat Burner.

Dandelion (root) Extract (200mg) - Dandelion is a diuretic and taking it as a supplement will likely increase the amount of water flushed out of the body. This does support Silencer Fat Burners claim to be able to “flush unwanted water”. Not a great way to burn fat, but you will end up with a lower overall weight thanks to the reduction of water in the body.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid (100mg) - A antioxidant compound, alpha-lipoic acid is produced naturally by the body. Studies show that it has some impact on weight loss and can increase calories burned during rest. Recommended safe doses range from 300mg to 1200mg per day. Since Silencer Fat Burner contains just 100mg per serving, it’s safe to say this ingredient is well under-dosed and unlikely to be all that effective.

Raspberry Ketone Powder (50mg) - Despite the name, these are synthetic raspberry ketones and not an extract. They are associated with weight loss because they play a role in breaking down fat in the body. The literature on whether raspberry ketones lose weight is pretty mixed and inconclusive, with some studies suggesting they could actually increase bulk. Either way, recommended effective doses are between 100mg and 400mg, so the 50mg included in Silencer Fat Burner is not likely to do much of anything.

3,5-Diiodo-L-Tyronine (T2) (200mcg) - A metabolic thyroid hormone, T2 has become popular in recent years as it is believed to increase metabolism and suppress appetite. However, little is known about T2 and there are no reliable studies linking it to any fat burner or related benefits. Nor is much known about the potential side effects of taking T2 as a supplement.

Silencer Fat Burner Review Conclusion

While certainly living up to the claim of being stimulant free, it is unlikely that Silencer Fat Burner will actually help you to lose weight. Almost all of the ingredients are extremely under-dosed and many have only been tenuously linked to weight loss, fat burning, and appetite control. If you’re looking for a non-stim fat burner, we recommend choosing something else, such as Hourglass Fit.

In addition to being unlikely to actually help you lose weight, customer reviews are pretty mixed and especially negative in regard to customer service. Avoid a bad experience and spend your money on a fat burner that actually works.
