Nighttime Recovery Complex - 510 MG
GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid)
GABA is a neurotransmitter present in all adult mammals that is responsible for inhibiting the neurological receptors that control your level of excitability. Evidence shows that people with higher levels of GABA in their system have lower levels of both physical and mental stress.
This means GABA supplementation can help people experience greater levels of relaxation and calmness. It can even offer additional benefits, like easing anxiety and helping you fall asleep faster (1).
The only issues are that it is not known what the optimal dose of GABA is, or how much is present in Inno Supps Night Shred Black. This makes it hard to gauge just how useful it will be.
Chamomile Flower Powder
Chamomile flower powder is rich in a chemical called apigenin and is the core component of chamomile tea. It is well-known for being able to help people relax, reduce stress and anxiety, and feel completely calm (2).
It will help you fall asleep and stay that way, while also preventing conditions that can impair your sleep quality, like inflammation and poor digestive health .
The concern again though, is that we don't know how much chamomile flower powder Inno Supps Night Shred Black actually contains, so we can't judge how effective it will be.
Passionflower Herb Powder
Passionflower has been used in traditional medicine in the Americas for centuries, due to claims it can prevent insomnia, treat anxiety, hysteria, and seizures, and help you get to sleep faster. It is said these benefits occur as it increases GABA production in the brain (3).
However, it is important to note that scientists believe the effects of passionflower are mild, and there has been very little study done on it by itself. This means it is hard to gauge how integral it is to the Night Shred Black formula.
Valerian Root Powder
Valerian root is a mild, natural sleep aid that once again activates the GABA neurotransmitters in the brain, reducing stress and anxiety and helping you get to sleep much quicker (4).
That said, more study is required to determine the true efficacy of valerian root, and we again don't know how much is present in Inno Supps Night Shred Black. This makes it hard to know what to expect.
Deep Relaxation Compound - 400 MG
Xylaria Nigripes Mycelia Extract (Zylaria)
Xylaria nigripes mycelia extract is a fungus that is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and nerve tonic. It is used in medical settings to treat insomnia and trauma, and for its neuroprotective effects to prevent conditions like dementia and Alzheimer's disease (5).
Studies show it can not only promote restful sleep but also encourages lipid metabolism, to help promote fat loss as well, meaning it contributes to both of the goals of Night Shred Black.
The only concern is that there is currently no optimal dosage set, meaning, even though it is an ingredient we actually know the quantity of, we still can't determine exactly what efficacy it offers.
PM Fat-Burning Complex - 81 MG
CLA (As Conjugated Linoleic Acid Complex) (goFAT)
Conjugated linoleic acid is a fatty acid that interacts with PPAR hormone receptors. While its effects are believed to be relatively mild, it is proven to boost body fat burning, regulate hormones and blood sugar levels to prevent weight gain, and reduce inflammation (6).
As with most of the Night Shred ingredients though, we simply don't know how much is present, which makes determining how effective it will be virtually impossible.
Grains Of Paradise Seed Extract
Grains of paradise come from a herb in the ginger family rich in essential oils and ketones. It is said to have multiple weight loss and fat burning effects, including boosting your metabolic rate, activating brown adipose tissue, and targeting stubborn, dangerous visceral fat.
They can even offer additional health benefits, such as fighting inflammation, bacteria, and diabetes symptoms, relieving diarrhoea, and enhancing testosterone levels and heart health (7).
It is worth remembering though, that grains of paradise are still in the early stages of testing, so we don't conclusively know how effectively they deliver each of these benefits.
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate
L-carnitine l-tartrate is a compound consisting of the amino acid l-carnitine and a salt of tartaric acid.
L-carnitine helps your body burn fat faster, as it prioritises its use, which stimulates weight loss. Tartaric acid then promotes muscle recovery and reduces soreness, which will prevent injuries, help you train harder, and ensure you don't have any trouble sleeping (8).
As with virtually everything in Inno Supps Night Shred Black though, we aren't told how much is present in the formula, which makes determining its efficacy impossible.
Mood Enhancement Complex - 35.5 MG
5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan)
5-HTP is an amino acid that's among the top ways to elevate serotonin production in the brain, as it can cross the blood brain barrier quite easily. This lets it improve sleep quality, mood, fat loss, and relaxation, prevent anxiety and depression, and work as an appetite suppressant (9).
As is the theme in Night Shred Black though, the proprietary blend hiding the dose of 5-HTP present means we have no way of knowing how well it achieves these effects.
L-Tryptophan
A variant of 5-HTP, L-tryptophan again regulates hormones and chemicals released in the brain, including serotonin. The benefits are also similar, as it can improve your mood and level of relaxation, help you fall asleep quicker, and ensure you get high quality sleep (10).
Without knowing the dose of l-tryptophan present in Night Shred black though, we can't say how well it produces any of these effects.
Melatonin - 3 MG (Also Available In Melatonin Free)
Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced and secreted by the pineal gland in brain that is vital for regulating REM sleep and the sleep wake cycle (11). Natural sleep aids that contain melatonin are among the best options for helping you drift off quickly into a deep sleep.
This is a rare instance where we actually know how much of an ingredient is in Night Shred Black, as the label clearly states that there is 3 mg present.
While this doesn't quite hit the optimal 5 mg dosage, it is well above the 500 mcg minimum dose, so should still produce a reasonable effect.
