Polyphenol Blend 2150mg
Cherry, Mulberry, Carrot, Green Mango, Hibiscus, Beetroot, Raspberry, Acai fruit, Black currant, Blueberry extract, Cranberry fruit, Grape Seed extract, Mango seed extract, Pomegranate.
This is the bulk of the product and the vast majority of the ingredients don't have any benefits in regards to weight loss. Hibiscus and Blackcurrant Extracts have some mild diuretic qualities and beetroot in quantities of over 500mg can have some benefits to blood pressure and heart health, but again not particularly great for a weight loss supplement.
The only other element of Okinawa Flat Belly Tonic that could have any benefit is the mango, if it's specifically mango seed extract (and some versions of the label list it as mango and others as extract, so this would depend on the version). However, studies are relatively limited and it would need to make up 350mg of the blend as a minimum so we're unconvinced.
Okinawa Flat Belly Tonic does also have Grape Skin Extract which if the doses are right could contain enough resveratrol to have some anti inflammatory properties, but it would need to make up about 70% of the polyphenol blend to be within the effective range, so we don't expect that's going to help Okinawa Flat Belly Tonic work.
Pretty much nothing else has much in the way of benefits that you're not just getting direct from the nutrients themselves.
Metabolic Blend 465mg
Okinawa Flat Belly Tonic reviews tend to focus on it's supposed weight loss qualities, but looking at the metabolic blend, it isn't going to do much to burn fat.
Cinnamon bark - This can be beneficial for weight loss however, you need 2g/1lb of body weight, so this isn't really going to do anything in what is likely to be a maximum of 100mg in Okinawa Flat Belly.
Green tea - This extract can have some mild weight loss effects, however, it's usually the worst ingredient in much better products.
Ginger - Ginger root as with Turmeric can have a host of benefits for bloating even potentially as a weight loss supplement (in that it it can boost testosterone production in males, helping them lose fat). However, the dose has to be between 1000mg and 3000mg and the blend only contains 465mg across all it's ingredients.
Turmeric - As mentioned in the intro, curcumin can have a benefit to reduce inflammation if it was here in a higher dose than is possible in okinawa flat belly tonic.
Shilajit extract - Shilajit does have a lot of benefits to brain health, but nothing for weight loss, added to which it typically needs to be taken in doses of 300mg or up, which is unlikely to be the case in Okinawa flat belly tonic's metabolic blend.
Bitter melon extract - This one may actually be OK, although generally speaking we've only seen it in lower quality weight loss supplements. And typically the studies that suggest it is beneficial for an increased rate of weight loss have it at 500mg/day doses, which once again is not possible within Okinawa flat belly tonic.
Black pepper extract - Black pepper or Bioperine helps people absorb nutrients more effectively, but doesn't do anything directly for weight reduction.
Digestive Blend
The digestive blend is all fine, we have no complaints here, it's nothing special, and would be in a lot of greens and reds powders (not marketed as a weight loss supplement).
Blue Agave Inulin 100mg - this is a prebiotic (meaning good gut bacteria eat it, but the body itself doesn't digest it), it's also a sweetener.
Probiotics 3billion cfu - Probiotics are good for gut health and typically reduce bloating. Some studies show they could potentially have a mild impact on weight loss, but most are correlative in that they showed people who lost more weight had better microbiomes, although there are a lot of explanations for said microbiomes being better, such as better diets.
