Center TRT is looking for 200 healthy men between 30-50 years old to take part in a 3 months study testing over the counter testosterone boosters. The study is set to commence Fall 2022.
Request Application FormTestosterone supplements are a large market in the USA generating an estimated $1billion of revenue per year. This is incredibly high for products that are simply not proven to work. We're seeking to make sure that these products do what they say, and are not simply scamming the american public.
Some ingredients have been individually studied, and some are clinicly proven to raise testosterone in cases where deficiency was already present (vitamin d for example). However, over all the studies are dubious and very few have actually checked testosterone levels before and after taking a combined supplement.
Testosterone supplements, commonly referred to as testosterone boosters, are supplements that claim to aid with the bodies natural testosterone production. This products are currently not clinicly proven although some contain ingredients that can help in specific use cases. Whilst they are beholden to base line FDA regulations and thus unlikely to be harmful, the effecicy of such products is constantly under question. Some are little more than a mulitvitamin aimed at men, whereas others make far more outlandish claims and contain less proven ingredients.
Participants will be provided with with a supply of one of the 3 market leading products or a placebo. We will send you a postal blood testosterone level test kit at the start and end of the trial. We ask that you take the product as instructed and fill in a weekly questionairre to self report the effects. We will also ask that you don't dramatically change your diet and do report if you do.

In theory testosterone boosters help improve lean muscle mass growth. Should they actually boost testosterone this benefit would be legitimate. We will request self reporting at the end of the study.
Claims around libido are common with testosterone boosters and once again we will be asking about this on the weekly questionaire and end phase.
Mood will be difficult to measure acturately, we will be using a scale system, with benchmarks taken before the commencement of the study.
Testosterone boosters claim to boost energy levels, and once again if testosterone is raised this should be the case, however, many of these supplements contain vitamins which would also have this effect.
