We rated Nootrum Shilajit as the best shilajit resin this year, so of course this review is going to be relatively positive. They've come out with a few different variations since then so we'll cover all 3 in this review.
They're mostly known for having an 85% fulvic acid content (the highest possible purity if you want to retain the other compounds like dibenzo-α-Pyrones. The customer reviews are all good, the third party testing is all above board and really there's nothing not to like here.
Nootrum harvest from the Himalayas at over 15000ft as you'd expect from any good brand.
Nootrum Shilajit Resin Classic
This is the best option, it tastes the best, there's not a huge difference between this and the new "soft" resin, but it does go hard relatively quickly after it's opened if you're somewhere cold. Not unusable, but it's definitely firmer than some other resins. That said this is the one I personally use.
Nootrum Shilajit Soft Resin
So, I actually did have to ask their customer service why this product was even a thing. Because I wasn't 100% sure why bother making it myself as to me it's a slightly more viscous version of the original. And apparently it was simply for customers who complained the other was too hard and they preferred runnier shilajit. The difference is in the drying method.
Nootrum Shilajit Gummies
The shilajit gummies are pretty nice, the orange flavor is good so no complaints on that front. The downside? They're quite pricey at $50. They also contain a larger dose of shilajit although these are less pure in terms of fulvic acid content and dibenzo-α-Pyrones. But, they do make up for that by using 1000mg per serving. The interesting thing is they're quite open about even with this larger dose that the gummies are NOT as good as the resin. But, they're as good as gummies can be.
What's the difference? There's a slightly lower amount of dibenzo-α-Pyrones even in the 1000mg serving than in 400mg of Nootrum shilajit resin, and it's the difference between being at the low end of the effective range rather than the high end.
That said this is still way better than the other gummies we've covered. But, if you really don't like the taste of shilajit this isn't a bad option. Especially if you're one of the sublingual is better crowd (and yes I know arguably letting it dissolve in your mouth may well be better).
Anyone I'd Recommend Over Nootrum?
Not currently, they do rank number one on our shilajit breakdown for a reason. Go check out Nootrum.
