Customers CarboFix Reviews
There aren't a whole lot of legitimate or verified CarboFix reviews available online. It seems most of the versions of CarboFix on Amazon are fake, this is a relatively common occurance on Amazon unforunately as the site has become flooded with fake versions of these sorts of flash in the pan supplements. As the manufacturers don't bother to trademark them.
Beyond that, most of the reviews of CarboFix are clearly trying to sell the product. We did find what looked to be one legitimate customer review of CarboFix on reddit, and they simply said the product didn't work for them as a response to another redditors question, which is hardly a lot to go from.
CarboFix Ingredients
CarboFix is a proprietary blend of less than 1500mg of ingredients, and whilst a fair few of these could be correctly dosed, they're not the most effective ingredients at the best of times. We can get a good approximation of ingredient volumes due to the fact that ingredients in proprietary blends must be listed from largest to smallest to comply with US laws.
Chromium picolinate - Chromium is a popular supplement often marketed for its potential weight loss benefits. It is a combination of the mineral chromium and picolinic acid. While some studies suggest that chromium picolinate may have a mild effect on weight loss, the evidence is not conclusive. Chromium is involved in regulating blood sugar levels and may help improve insulin sensitivity, which could indirectly affect weight management.
Berberine HCl is a compound found in several plants, including the Berberis shrub. It has gained popularity as a potential supplement for weight loss. Some studies suggest that berberine HCl may help with weight loss by regulating blood sugar levels, improving insulin sensitivity, and reducing appetite. It may also have positive effects on lipid metabolism and inflammation. But, even if it does work, the optimal dosage of Berberine HCl for weight loss has not been firmly established. However, most studies on Berberine have used doses ranging from 800 mg to 1500 mg per day, divided into multiple doses, meaning if it was dosed correctly that's almost all of CarboFix's ingredients, at which point you'd be better off just buying a Berberine supplement for a 10th the price of carbofix.
Cinnamon bark extract - Cinnamon extract contains bioactive compounds that may help regulate blood sugar levels, improve insulin sensitivity. But, again this is a negligable effect as an appetite suppressant ingredient goes. And more importantly the recommended dosage as used by most studies have used doses ranging from 1000 mg to 2,000 mg per day, meaning CarboFix can't possibly have enough.
Benfotiamine - Benfotiamine is a synthetic derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1). While it is commonly used to support nerve health and manage diabetic neuropathy, it doesn't really do anything to help with weight loss though.
Naringin - Naringin is a flavonoid found in grapefruits and other citrus fruits. While it's often promoted for its potential weight loss benefits, the evidence is limited and inconclusive. And once again it's most well known for improving insulin sensitivity. The recommended dosage of naringin varies depending on the source and form, but typical doses range from 500 mg to 2,000 mg per day. And most readers at this point will realize that this is well outside what can possibly be in CarboFix.
ALA - ALA may indirectly support weight management by improving insulin sensitivity. The optimal dosage of ALA has not been firmly established, but most studies have used doses ranging from 300 mg to 1,800 mg per day, but realistically we're not getting anything useful here, dispite all the claims around APMk. AMPk is an enzyme responsible for regulating various metabolic processes, including glucose and fatty acid uptake, lipogenesis, and fatty acid oxidation, and yes there's some limited evidence around this, but it's only an issue in incredibly rare cases.
These fad supplements like CarboFix don't have all too much backing for their ingredients and as a result we don't recommend them.
