First off, neither Nugenix Total T or T Boost are making their way anywhere near our roundup of the best testosterone boosters any time soon. Nugenix Total T is a dated and budget formula at a premium price point and Nugenix T Boost is a complete waste of money.
Now, getting onto the differences, Nugenix Total T has a little bit of transparency and as a result actually has a couple of things dosed correctly. It's still not great though. Nugenix T Boost is basically all hidden in a proprietary blend and that's pretty much because nothing is present in an effective dose range and they want to hide that. Sure it's cheap, but considering Nugenix is notoriously overpriced across the board you can't expect anything functional from them for under $30.
So, the short answer is that if for some reason you really want to buy Nugenix, get Total T, but if you want something way better at the same price point, I generally recommend TestoFuel of Prime Male (which you can read about on our best test booster breakdown here).
Nugenix T Boost vs Total T Ingredients
Nugenix Total T contains a full dose fenugreek extract, which has been shown in studies to support healthy testosterone levels, and zinc, an essential mineral for hormone production. They’ve also added boron, which again is a pretty solid inclusion for a test booster. But the peat extract and apple are entirely pointless and do nothing for testosterone. Zinc is horribly under dosed at just 1mg in both formulas which is embarrassing as even budget testosterone boosters tend to get this right. L-Citrulline Malate also needs to be dosed at 6000mg and up, so definitely nowhere near enough in Total T at 1000mg.
T-Boost, on the other hand is a random grab bag of ingredients It also had zinc and b vitamins, but again pitifully underdosed zinc and as for the rest of the ingredients they're poor in general. The formula leans on a "proprietary blend," which always makes me suspicious. Proprietary blends don’t let you know the exact amounts of each ingredient, so it’s hard to tell if you’re getting enough of the key compounds to make a difference. And in this case it's mathematically certain that you're not. And we have the same issue with L-Citrulline Malate.
Nugenix Total T vs T Boost Specs
Ingredient | Nugenix Total T | T-Boost | Why It Matters |
---|---|---|---|
Fenugreek Extract | 600mg | not here | Fenugreek may support free testosterone and libido but needs proper dosing to work. |
Zinc | 1mg | 1mg | Zinc is crucial for testosterone production, especially in those with deficiencies. But, most test boosters use at least 10mg to deal with that. |
Boron | 10mg | Not included | Boron may boost free testosterone and reduce SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin). |
Vitamin B6 | 2mg | 2mg | B6 can help regulate hormones and energy levels, it's fine. |
L-Citrulline Malate | 1125mg | In proprietary blend | L-Citrulline supports blood flow, potentially improving stamina and recovery, but dosages start at 6000mg |
Tribulus Terrestris | Not included | Present in proprietary blend | Often marketed as a testosterone booster but lacks strong scientific backing. |
Proprietary Blend | None | ~900mg | None of the ingredients can be even with 1/5 of their effective dose ranges. |
My Personal Experience
The fact is that neither of these were great, and I immediately went back to taking Prime Male once I was done but Nugenix Total T is definitely better than Nugenix T Boost. It's not even close.
Nugenix Total T:
So, it's been a while since I used Nugenix Total T, and it's definitely a downgrade from what I use these days. Comparing it against having used nothing for a while I do notice improvements in my energy and motivation after about two weeks. My workouts felt more productive, and I had better endurance. So it does definitely do something. But, considering it's price point has it up against way better products it's still a no go in terms of recommendations.
Nugenix T-Boost:
With T-Boost, the results were lackluster. In reality this did absolutely nothing at all and I can't recommend it to anyone.
Price and Value
Honestly they're both daylight robbery.
Product | Price (Monthly Supply) | Value for Money |
---|---|---|
Nugenix Total T | ~$70 | Fenugreek with minimal extra vitamins, rip off |
T-Boost | ~$40 | Cheaper, but even worse value somehow. |
Why Neither Made the List of Best Testosterone Boosters
While Nugenix Total T has a solid formula and some noticeable effects, it doesn’t compare to the top-tier testosterone boosters on the market. For example, products like Prime Male or TestoFuel offer more comprehensive ingredient profiles, higher dosages, and additional compounds like D-Aspartic Acid and Ashwagandha, which have stronger research backing their effectiveness.
T-Boost, on the other hand, doesn’t come close to competing. It relies too much on proprietary blends and lacks transparency, which is a big drawback for anyone serious about boosting testosterone levels.
Final Verdict
If I had to choose between these two, Nugenix Total T is the better option. It has clearer dosing, better ingredients, and noticeable effects. That said, if you’re looking for a testosterone booster that truly stands out, I’d recommend skipping both Nugenix and T-Boost and exploring better alternatives.
For me, this comparison reinforced the importance of doing your research and aiming for products with proven ingredients, proper dosing, and transparent formulas. Neither Nugenix Total T nor T-Boost made my top picks, and neither represent good value.
