Testogen starts off it's formula covering off the basics with a decent vitamin blend, we generally expect any good testosterone booster to do this. There are a few very common deficiencies which can cause low testosterone levels, most notably zinc (which even a small deficiency can tank testosterone levels) and vitamin d deficiency which can effect almost 80% of the US population, in the winter months and around 50% the year round.
Beyond tackling these issues Testogen goes on to include a blend of herbal extracts and D Aspartic Acid and some lesser known minerals which have all been shown to raise testosterone levels in various clinical trials.
The question with Testogen isn't so much whether or not they've got the right ingredients, it's whether or not they're in the optimal levels when compared against the competition. And honestly Testogen doesn't do a bad job at all.
Customers reviews of Testogen are generally pretty positive, and our experience in trialling the testosterone booster was positive.
We did experience an uplift in gym performance in both reps and weight although the real benefit seemed to be in increased recovery speed. In contrast the jump wasn't as large as the first time we added creatine to our diets, but it wasn't far off, so it does definitely work. As for the other claims of testosterone boosters, we did have to dip into some verified customer reviews of testogen and some older friends that we got to give the product a go for this review. In general the response was again pretty good. No serious complaints, although there are better options for testosterone boosters focused on libido.
The short version is, Testogen is pretty good, and if you are looking for a testosterone booster you could do a lot worse. The only negative we've really got is that depending on what effects you're after there could be a better testosterone booster out there, but Testogen is a good option for a gym focused booster for men looking to pack on a bit more lean muscle mass.

Generally speaking the vast majority of Testogen reviews were very positive, there's a lot of verified purchases giving them 4-5* and a host of Testogen before and after photos on social media. Testogen reddit reviews were overall pretty solid as well although you can always find a few people who thought it would be a miracle pill or an alternatively to testosterone replacement therapy (which it is not) rather than something to support healthy testosterone levels and that nothing will fix a terrible diet and lifestyle. There weren't too many reports of Testogen side effects a few people complained of mild nausea which can usually be avoided by taking testogen with food, although a lot of people seemed to be confused of how to take Testogen.
There were also some reviews that came from Females although obviously it's less common for them to be interested in testosterone boosters, the hormone is still important. Generally speaking these were positive as well, and it's probably due to the lack of Ashwagandha which is common in a lot of other testosterone boosters and generally causes nausea in people with more sensitive stomachs. Testogen capsules have been on the market for quite a while now, and the fact that they've managed to keep a good reputation over the last decade is testament to the products quality. A lot of supplements only hang around for a little over a year until they get found out. Testogen isn't one of these.
Testogen Ingredients
Magnesium 200mg - Whilst this is only 50% of your daily requirement for magnesium, including this dose mean that most people are likely to have any deficiencies covered. Magnesium is essential for healthy testosterone production and this is a solid inclusion. Larger doses of magnesium supplementation have shown to be slightly more effective, but this should be enough for most cases. It also has the benefit of helping a healthy sleep cycle, and poor sleep quality is one of the leading factors in causing low testosterone levels. It's also one of the most unfortunate low testosterone symptoms as it compounds the effect, making magnesium essential for the best testosterone boosters.
Vitamin B6 20mg - Vitamin b6 is another common inclusion in testosterone supplements for 2 reasons. One it's essential for testosterone production, and two, it boosts energy levels helping to combat low testosterone symptoms. At 1400% of your recommended daily minimum this may seem high, but it's been studied to be safe at much higher levels and the dose in Testogen pills is ideally for raising energy levels helping you train more effectively.
Zinc 10mg - Covering off zinc is something that pretty much all good testosterone supplements do. 10mg is 100% of your absolute minimum. Anything less than this in your diet will completely tank testosterone production. Taking more than 15mg (which is the amount a notably large man would need) has no increase on testosterone levels so 10mg is fine. Most men get at least 7-9mg in a standard diet, but with even a mild deficiency causing problems, it's inclusion will boost testosterone levels for a lot of men.
Vitamin D3 50mcg - Vitamin D has been shown to raise free testosterone levels in healthy men by double digit percentages and even higher in deficient men. 50mcg is 1000% of your daily dose and goes well past the testosterone boosting dose of 25mcg, but this could actually be even higher. It's been shown to improve athletic performance and still be safe at up to 5000%. Whilst the latter element doesn't raise testosterone levels directly a lot of people take testosterone to improve their gym performance so this seems like another solid inclusion.
Vitamin k1 20mg - Vitamin K deficiency causes low testosterone, however, a very small amount of the population has a "clinical deficiency" as a result the fact that this is only 26% should cover off any "sub clinical deficiencies" that would be likely to be effecting testosterone levels.
D Aspartic Acid - 2352mg - D Aspartic Acid is the star of the show in Testogen, D Aspartic Acid has been shown to raise testosterone levels in both trained and untrained men. It actually even seems to work to raise testosterone levels in sedentary men, making it a most have for a supplement looking to boost testosterone levels. There's a plethora of trials that back up D Aspartic Acids use and this is the correct dosage with ideal ranges being between 2000mg and 3000mg. It should be noted that some people have to work up to 2000mg and if you experience any nausea we recommend taking a half dose of testogen for a week until your body is used to it. Added to which taking D Aspartic Acid whilst training as been shown to increase muscle growth and a higher rate of body fat loss when compared to a placebo irrespective of test levels.
Nettle Leaf 40mg - This is probably the weakest point of the Testogen supplement, we'd have rather seen a bit more panax ginseng, nettle leaf extract does work by increasing sex hormone binding globulin shbg which reduces estrogen and means you have more "free testosterone". But, the effect is a lot lower than the other ingredients in Testogen.
Red Ginseng 40mg - We're huge fans of Panax Ginseng supplementation for testosterone boosters, this 4:1 extract is equivalent to 160mg, which is within the effective range, although it could be a little bit higher. Red Ginseng has been proven in multiple double blind placebo trials to raise testosterone levels, that's in men who trained, didn't train, at different ages etc. There's a lot of different trials and it's by far one of the most well backed ingredients. It does have to be Panax or Korean Red Ginseng Extract, American Ginseng doesn't contain the same active ingredients "ginsenosides" to effect testosterone production. Testogen get this right.
Fenugreek extract 40mg - As a 4:1 ratio extract this comes out as the equivalent to 160mg of a standard fenugreek extract. It's within the effective range for fenugreek to boost testosterone synthesis, although we do prefer to see a dosage of 200mg, still good. Just could be a little bit higher.
Boron 8mg - Boron is another great inclusion that we tend to see in most testosterone booster supplements worth their salt. It's been shown to raise testosterone production quite dramatically, upwards of 20% and takes up relatively little capsule space, it's also not too expensive. We do prefer this to be dosed at 10mg, but 8mg is the most clinically tested dose. Although there is one study showing 10mg to be more effective, and for such a small difference we'd have rather seen the extra 2mg. Still a good inclusion and another plus to our Testogen review.
Bioperine 5mg - Bioperine doesn't actually do anything to raise total or free testosterone levels, it does however help your body absorb nutrients more effectively and generally speaking it's a good inclusion in 4 capsule dietary supplements.
Testogen Review Conclusion
Testogen is good, we're not overly fond of the drops, although the pills are pretty good.
But, if you're looking for something to boost testosterone levels so you can train harder at the gym, shed a few pounds and have hit a plateau, then Testogen is great for helping you push past that. Certainly a better option to try before alternative methods of supplementing your testosterone production. Testogen isn't a treatment for a serious testosterone deficiency, but if you're looking to give yourself an edge in day to day life and are otherwise healthy, or at least not on the clinical side of low, it's great.
We like Testogen and we'd give it 8.5/10 based on good ingredients, minimal negative testogen reviews and a good personal experience with the supplements.
Generally it's best to buy Testogen from their site, as they tend to have bulk buy deals which make it a much better value proposition than what you get elsewhere.
