A terribly underdosed supplement range Ageless Male gives testosterone boosters a bad name
Ageless Male is terribly dosed, bordering on the completely pointless, you'd be better off with a vitamin d, zinc and magnesium multivitamin that you can pick up for about $10 for a 3 months supply, rather than $35/month. That's not to say it won't work at all, zinc deficiency is pretty common in the USA (12%) [1] and it does cause low testosterone. So, with Ageless Male covering this base at least there's a good chance it'll do something for for 1 in 9 people. Which would definitely result in some positive ageless male reviews from customers, even if they didn't know they'd have been just as well off with a zinc pill for a lot less money.
Beyond that pretty much every decent testosterone boosting supplement contains zinc, and Ageless Male doesn't even contain the rest of the basic vitamins we'd expect to see in a supplement like this. Beyond that it's got some Fenugreek seed extract in it, but that's not enough to be in line with the clinical research [2]. For curiosities sake we actually got a quote to see how much it would cost to manufacture something to the same specification of ageless male, the answer was that the bottle cost more than the pill. Herbal compounds and vitamin supplementation can help improve testosterone levels. But, Ageless Male is not one that we'd recommend. They do have some products that are marginally better than their main line, but Ageless Male Max isn't exactly great, Advantage is a multivitamin (and a mediocre one at that) and the less said about the Ageless Male Pro T range the better.
The fact is, that good supplements in this category cost about $20 more than Ageless Male does, but that's quite simply because you typically get 4X the product in terms of dosage and ingredients. And unfortunately anything less than that isn't going to work. Most testosterone boosters are 4 capsule a day supplements, so Ageless Male serving just one should be a bit of a giveaway. Ageless Male seems designed as a range of supplements to trap those who want something for the least money possible and do the whole industry a disservice by selling them something that won't work.
Customers of Ageless Male Reviews
If the Ageless Male Amazon listing is to be believed these actually aren't too bad. But, if you have a quick look, the first thing you see is that customers are bribed to leave positive reviews of Ageless Male, thus burying the negative Ageless Male reviews. It's probably a good idea to actually send the free stuff that you promise people so they don't turn round and out you by changing their response. We've added a nice screenshot in case the review ever comes down. That and the fact that the reviews seem unbelievable in terms of muscle growth, sex life improvements and beyond plausible increases in free testosterone levels we can all make a quick conclusion here. Unfortunately we can't trust the customer reviews.
Ageless Male Ingredients
Welcome to one of the shortest ingredients sections reviewed by EASNA's team, we're going to break this one down pretty quickly and link to the studies which show the recommended dosages so you can see for yourselves why we think ageless male is a poor supplement.
Vitamin B6 - So, there are benefits to b6, quite a lot actually, and it is essential for testosterone production [3]. However, free testosterone levels don't really change that much for supplementation as most people typically get more than enough in their diet to maximise the male hormone production. This is a common inclusion in test boosters [4] and isn't supported by the academic literature beyond it's raising of energy. It does boost energy levels though. This is why it makes its way into a lot of energy drinks. It's also pretty good for your skin, so that's a nice aside, but this isn't really something to with test levels. It does also have a benefit to blood flow as a nitric oxide booster, thus can also have some benefits for male sexual health.
Magnesium aspartate - This is 16mg or 4% of your daily magnesium requirements. And whilst magnesium is a total and free testosterone booster [5] meaning it raises your overall testosterone levels and the amount that is free (not bound up by estrogen in the body) 4% of your daily requirement is not going to do anything to boost testosterone.
Zinc - Zinc as we mentioned in the introduction does raise testosterone levels in deficient men, only in deficient men. [6] Extra zinc supplementation won't do anything to improve muscle mass, or low testosterone levels.
Fenugreek seed extract - So this where it goes wrong, so far we'd have a relatively cheap men's vitamin blend, Ageless Male seem to think adding fenugreek makes it worth $35, it doesn't. On top of that whilst Fenugreek has been shown to be a testosterone booster, this is at a minimum of 500mg/day and most studies show it to be 600mg plus [7]. Ageless Male includes 300mg. So, we can't say it's going to do much to boost testosterone.
There's a whole host of test boosting ingredients missing here, there are better options for the price and infinitely better options for $10 more. Don't waste your money on Ageless Male.
Ageless Male Review Conclusion
We've got fake customer reviews of Ageless Male all over the place, an under dosed list of ingredients and a mid range price tag on a product that isn't even suitable as a budget testosterone booster. We can't recommend Ageless Male. Ageless Male Max falls foul of all the same issues, so we can't recommend that either. As it stands we'd say steer clear of the entire range and their deceptive marketing practices.
