EAP – Business Solutions for the Human Condition

Join us to learn the latest information of how EAPs are positively impacting mental health at work and how employers can mitigate the business risks today’s challenges pose.

EASNA, the Employee Assistance Trade Association is seeking creative learning experiences for its 2019 Annual Institute, scheduled for May 8-10, 2019, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Our goal is to include speakers and presentations who will enlighten and engage consultants, benefit advisors, EA professionals and employer representatives of work organizations that purchase EAPs, work/life, wellness and health benefit services. Presentations most likely to be selected will support the 2019 Annual Institute theme: EAPs – Business Solutions to the Human Condition and demonstrate best practices and emerging trends that increase mental health, resilience, productivity & risk management efforts in the workplace.

Specific Topics:

Our goal is to provide an array of compelling presentations in keeping with the Institute theme. Proposed seminar submissions should address one of these preferred topics of interest:

  • Not your everyday EAP! The critical evolution of solutions and service delivered through innovations in workplace and behavioral health
  • Mitigating risks associated with the health and wellness of employee and member populations
  • New healthcare models and engagement challenges for today’s multi-generational, connected workforce culture

Seminar Formats:

This year, EASNA plans to offer 10 general sessions, including four shorter (15-minute) dynamic rapid-fire presentations. There will be no concurrent sessions. We anticipate the 2019 Curriculum to be comprised of the following session formats:

  • Three (3) 90-minute sessions
  • Three (3) 75-minute sessions
  • Four (4) 15-minute rapid-fire sessions

Presentation Style & Content:

To provide a quality learning experience for Institute participants, we request proposals include any or all the following components:

  • Creative use of learning media
  • Employer and Labor representation
  • Real-life workplace experiences of success
  • Global perspectives on EAPs and workplace mental health
  • Best practices and knowledge transfer to EA and other workplace professionals
